Search Console API is now available as a Search Analytics connection option

You can now connect Search Analytics BigQuery data sources using the Google Search Console API as a direct ingestion option. This lets you connect without preparing or configuring BigQuery, and if you had not set up Search Console Bulk Export, you can analyze data from the past 16 months1.

In project settings, open the Search Analytics BigQuery dialog, choose the API connection management type2, and select a registered Search Console property to connect. After setup, you can check sync status (pending, running, done, or failed) and the latest sync date in the table.

For API-connected sources, the Search Appearance filter is unavailable. The Search Console API also has row limits, so we generally recommend the existing Bulk Export connection. URL-level views also do not include anonymized query traffic.

File attachments are now available in AI chat

You can now attach PDF, PNG, JPEG, and WebP files to AI chat messages. Each file can be up to 10 MB, with up to 4 files per message. Drag-and-drop is supported.

If the selected model does not support attachments, an error is shown before sending. When reopening a saved chat, only attachment metadata is shown; file contents are not restored or re-analyzed.

Claude Sonnet 5 is now available in AI chat

Claude Sonnet 5 has been added to AI chat, and Claude Sonnet 4.6 has been removed. Sonnet 5 is available on the AI Standard plan. If you previously selected Sonnet 4.6, your choice is migrated to Sonnet 5 automatically.

  • Alternating row colors have been added to long tables in User Analytics, Search Analytics, and Index Worker for easier reading.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the canonical-indexed count in Index Worker was always shown as 0.
  • Fixed an issue where tool confirmation results were not always reflected in model input when resuming AI chat after confirmation.
  • Fixed an issue where Search Analytics queries could fail when using partial-match URL group filters.
